ABOUT US

During the summer of 2015, our two young boys, then 6 and 7, competed in track meets throughout the summer and both qualified for the Junior Olympics National Track Meet in Jacksonville, FL. We were continually asked the question, "How can I get my child involved in track and field?" We saw that there was a need for a track and field club in the Hoover area, so the following summer, we founded Over the Mountain Track Club. The next summer, our club more than doubled in size, thus affirming the growing interest of track and field.

Our desire is to coach our athletes in a way that leads them to be not only better athletes, but better young men and women. We will focus on growing their character while growing their skills in most aspects of track and field: sprints, long distance, javelin, shot put, long jump, and more.

Our goal is to inspire a love of the sport, a respect for their fellow athletes and competitors, and a mindset that looks past the 400m track they train on at practice.
