February 15, 2024
Applications are now open for our youth leadership initiative, the LEAD OTM program.
Successful candidates will be entrusted with upholding our core LEAD team values:
Lead by example in everything you do
Esteem others through your words & actions
Amplify a unified team environment
Demonstrate integrity in your character & decision making
These selected individuals will be responsible for the following:
Oversee a "mini team" of athletes during warm-up and cool-down sessions at practices
Assist in storing equipment at the conclusion of each practice
Account for attendance of your mini team and send encouraging correspondence when they're absent
Volunteer at the OTM Mary Birdwell Memorial Meet on Saturday, June 29 at Hoover High School (when not competing)
LEAD OTM members will have the flexibility to choose between training alongside the team or assisting in coaching areas during practices. As a part of the LEAD team, athletes will receive an OTM jersey and LEAD team t-shirt, and they will accrue volunteer hours for their involvement. This presents an excellent opportunity for student athletes to accumulate community service hours, enhance their college resumes, and actively contribute to OTM Track Club while refining skills in their preferred disciplines.
